We The People

We can make our own happiness
Stand up and say what we feel
Be sensitive
Be loving
Be sure
Live through example
Live through the heart
I won't ask the government to fix it
I'll fix it myself
Lets fix it
We ask the government for permission
They should ask US for permission
Out of control in numbers
We are herded like sheep
To many laws to be truly free
To many people to be truly free
We are children who see a bright future
The old were once wild eyed dreamers
Everyone dreams of peace
Everyone knows peace
We must make peace
Without permission
We the people

Watching Time Go By, By: Adam Jordan

Atlantic Moon, By: Adam Jordan
A Divine Purpose
My body aligns herself with mother moon
My blood runs like the rivers of stars in this sky
Flowing with the seduction of the Milky Way
This galaxy
Oh my galaxy
My pain is for a moment but what a reminder of this gift
My purpose is to create
To love
To nurture
To liberate
My cycle shows my power as a woman
My compassion in purist form
The love of humanity
As my womb readies itself for life
I ready my soul to embrace this purpose
To embrace the children of the world
Every soul with a child inside
Every child without a mother
I honor this moment
As my body aligns herself with mother moon

Respectfully enjoying silence
The pounding of my heart
The focus of my mind
The air moving in my lungs
My body sits still
The spring cotton falling around me
Silence
I hush my soul
My thoughts are no more
I have nothing to ponder
I have a world to admire
The fingernail moon
Hangs in the daylight hour
The moon can see stars
I can not
Only the spring cotton
In this silence

Haiku

Birds flying for stars
They can not see through the blue
They fly anyway

Statues
Brilliantly displaying human success
Our Loved ones, budding aspirations
Gods, goddesses, saints and angels
Our immaculate inspirations
Monuments
Built in hope they will last eternally
Our desire and determination measured
As tall as mountains in our hearts
To be found long into a plausible future
Sculptures
Our emotions
Embodied in the earthen clays and metals
Our passion
Blooming with the immortality of lotus petals
Made from human hands
Created by human minds
Inspired by something exceptional
Much more profound than this mankind

Singer Island, FL By Adam
We want to fly
We want to soar
We want everything nature denies us
And then more
The bird knows only his skill
Flies at his own will
Never taking more than his fill
Letting nature guide the kill
He strikes at random
Never diving tandem
Swoops with opportunity
Goes home with a full belly
How lovely to relearn this silent respect for the sea
We could always be full and live in harmony

To My Soulmate And My Best Friend

Painting: Kissing by Alex Grey

You
Undefinable in fascination
A treasure so precious, my inspiration
You deserve universal recognition
For the gods have finally mastered perfection
You
Emperor of my dynasty
King of my wild monarchy
Horizon of my boundless sky
Reliable and unfaultering to my dizzy eyes
You
If only everyone saw what I see
A strong man, masculine in your beauty
Your heart as infinite as the connected seas
Your mind, intricate and eternally lovely
You
You can not be defined
It is a miracle to share your life
It is an honor to know you
And what a privilege to be your wife

Nicole at The Lookout at Chuckanut Ridge (Picture by Adam)

I Hike

I pick the direction of the river
I walk
I climb
I hike
Push myself to the edge
A stream beneath me
Spruces, ponderosas, aspens
The breeds of the trees
Mixing together
If only we could learn to live
As harmoniously as the forest
The tall trees personify
Into giant ancient people
Once hiking the edge of the river
Now frozen, putting roots down
Shades of green blend so delicately
The red bark a brilliant contrast
The flowers splashing color
My eyes overwhelmed

Mother Earths body
Her face, back and hands
Create an unexplored world before me
My dreams of her
Before this moment
Were lovely but nothing like this
A blend of imperfections and pleasures
Making an addicting cocktail
My soul becomes happily drunk
I wait for my body to attune to hers

With her alluring body before me
I become keenly aware of my own
My curves and my strength
My browns and tans
My bright blue eyes like the river
I walk beside this river
In the direction of the frozen giants
Walking
Climbing
I hike

The Boulevard at Night (Bellingham, WA) Picture by Adam

Inspired by the sunrise
Kissed by the dew
Put to rest by the sunset
Rocked to sleep by stars on blue

All our days go round
And the world moves on it’s own
Flashes many colors to seasons passing by
Never should we feel alone

Breathe it in
Sometimes it feels like a fairy tale
There’s a bay of untouched charm
Waiting for your empty pail

Cities

There is no mouth
In which the earth can speak
Trees stand on patches of unnatural hills
To touch the ancient, is reaching too deep

Buildings with jagged faces
Stand blind without eyes
All magic seams distant
From my natural instincts I have become untied

Ghostly figures pushing dreams
Close my eyes, see the colors
Our history, a lesson
Reaching out to help each other

Yet there is a magic
Deep within the concrete streets
A dream of advanced connection
A new way to move my feet

I dream beyond the concrete
And the problems have a solution
Less people, deeper connection
I believe in human evolution

An HDR photo and poem

Doesn't matter how you measure distance
The length doesn't change with interpretation
Doesn't matter if you think all is lovely
Beauty doesn't need eyes to exist
Doesn't matter how fast you travel
It is assured things will change before you arrive
Music loud or soft
Doesn't matter the volume as long as you learn to dance
Each song has a dance
Each place has a song
Each place is unique
Therefore each person should learn to dance,
A thousand ways
