Cities

There is no mouth
In which the earth can speak
Trees stand on patches of unnatural hills
To touch the ancient, is reaching too deep

Buildings with jagged faces
Stand blind without eyes
All magic seams distant
From my natural instincts I have become untied

Ghostly figures pushing dreams
Close my eyes, see the colors
Our history, a lesson
Reaching out to help each other

Yet there is a magic
Deep within the concrete streets
A dream of advanced connection
A new way to move my feet

I dream beyond the concrete
And the problems have a solution
Less people, deeper connection
I believe in human evolution

An HDR photo and poem

Doesn't matter how you measure distance
The length doesn't change with interpretation
Doesn't matter if you think all is lovely
Beauty doesn't need eyes to exist
Doesn't matter how fast you travel
It is assured things will change before you arrive
Music loud or soft
Doesn't matter the volume as long as you learn to dance
Each song has a dance
Each place has a song
Each place is unique
Therefore each person should learn to dance,
A thousand ways
