Respectfully enjoying silence
The pounding of my heart
The focus of my mind
The air moving in my lungs
My body sits still
The spring cotton falling around me
Silence
I hush my soul
My thoughts are no more
I have nothing to ponder
I have a world to admire
The fingernail moon
Hangs in the daylight hour
The moon can see stars
I can not
Only the spring cotton
In this silence

  1. Beautiful photograph and poem. Thank you!

The spring cotton is falling here, too. Very lightly.
